Competitive Camp Session 1

Competitive Camp Session 1

Competitive Camp Session 1: August 16-20

Fencers 12 & Up

A high-level training clinic for competitive athletes in all weapons instructed by David Sach, Matt Zich, Brendan Doris-Pierce, Yasser Mahmoud, and Iliya Mechkov. Athletes will focus on conditioning, drills, and footwork in the morning sessions and tactics and bouting in the afternoon sessions.

This camp is appropriate for youth competitive and high school/college competitive athletes. This camp works on advancing young athletes to give them a competitive edge. Morning sessions will focus on warmup games, footwork and bouting. The afternoon session will incorporate youth competitive students with the competitive athletes to challenge the younger fencers and give them the opportunity to work with more experienced fencers. Drills, tactics and conditioning are incorporated in the structure of the camp.

This clinic is geared towards competitive athletes ages 12 and up, although younger and less experienced athletes can attend if they are approved by a coach.
