BFC started the year off right! BFC took a great group of athletes to Charlotte, NC the first weekend of January for the January NAC. This competition featured Div 1, Junior, Senior Team, and Wheelchair events. Maria Theodore made a strong Top 16 finish in Div 1 Sabre, a personal best, and went on the next day to take a bronze medal with Nina Sayles and Priyanka Ghosh in Senior Women's Team Sabre. Peter Souders also achieved a personal best with his first gold medal in Div 1 Men's Sabre. While Pete has numerous Div 1 medals, this was the first time he's clinched gold. Congrats to all of our athletes and a special shoutout to Pete, Nina, Maria, and Pri! Can't wait to see what the rest of the year will bring.
