Pre-Competitive Training 07-08 (1.5 hours)

Our Pre-Competitive Training classes are the next step in the fencer’s development.  Classes are longer, and an increased amount of time is spent sparring.  Before enrolling in Pre-Competitive Training, students must successfully complete at least one term of Fencing 4 and have the approval of the instructor.  Fencers wishing to enroll in Pre-Competitive Epee or Pre-Competitive Sabre must complete at least one term of Epee 1 or Sabre 1 and have the approval of the instructor. Students transferring from another program must be evaluated by our coaching staff before being accepted into Pre-Competitive Training.

$265 per term plus $50 USFA membership

(USFA membership good through 7/31/08)

Students may attend one or both sections of the class for their age group at the same price.  Fee includes use of equipment.  Students wishing to explore epee or sabre must complete at least one term of Epee or Sabre 1 and get the okay from our coaching staff. Though we do require US Fencing Association membership, it is not necessary to pay Boston Fencing Club dues in order to enroll in instructional or pre-competitive level classes.
