Boston Fencing Club The Boston Fencing Club, established in 1858, is the oldest fencing club in the United States. A non-profit organization, our mission is to provide fencing instruction and training opportunities to fencers of all ages and abilities. We encourage recreational fencing and provide training for serious competitors. Click here for membership form.
Club Membership $525/year, $60/month* Membership in the Boston Fencing Club provides the following benefits:

Open Fencing Monday and Wednesday: 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday: 6:30pm - 10:30pm Saturday: 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm (Access may be restricted at times due to special events.)
There is a $15 fee for open fencing for non-BFC members. Current USFA membership is required. The floor fee is waived for full-time college undergraduates on Wednesdays (sabre) and Thursdays (foil & epee).
Open fencing is geared toward experienced fencers. During open fencing hours club members and guests train, spar, and take private lessons. Participants must use proper fencing equipment and follow the rules and etiquette of the sport and the Boston Fencing Club. No fencing in shorts is permitted.
Spectators are always welcome.
Private Lessons Private lessons are available during open fencing or by appointment and last twenty to thirty minutes. Lesson fees are set by the club and fees are to be paid directly to the coach at the time of the lesson. Club membership or payment of the floor fee is also required. Beginners should start out in group classes before considering private lessons.
